If the 4750 had the 250mb video, I might have purchased one...

I would love a Athlon64 notebook based on the 8790 chassis . They should put in a new 90nm Athlon64 with Lanchester Core (very good thermal behaviour), a K8T890 or nForce4 pci-e chipset and a Mobility x800 or Geforce 6800 Go !
You Sager or Clevo guys outside: what do you think about that?

Ciao

That would be one awesome notebook. Lancaster is supposed to use only 25W at max load right?
Aye, it's only supposed to use 25w at max load. Not too unreasonable, since they've got desktop cores running at 32w (full load.)

And, actually, I think I'd prefer a 6600 Go with upgrade options. True, I'd probably be getting about as much performance as those Dell boys with their Radeon 9800s, but, then again...I'd probably be getting much nicer battery life. Getting a good four hours or more out of the laptop, for word processing, would be nice and with a Lancaster, maybe even possible.

But AMD has to meet demand with Lancasters first, though. :-/

Please dont tell me that they are selling the next AMD DTR w/a 15.1 inch screen like that Eurocomm.
"That" Eurocom thing is not a DTR notebook. Atleast GPU-wise. Someone said it will have the integrated Via Unichrome shared memmory GPU... I bet it is still better than the no good Geforce 4 Go like in those Compaq "_gaming_ notebooks" (read and weep...) though. Right now and thus far the Athlon 64 notebook offerings have only been half-ass serious. Give me WUXGA, 12 Cell, DX9 128MB+, LV A64 and we are getting somewhere... It would be nice, but I don't really NEED a notebook so I'm still waiting for the right one. The one, for me. She is out there, I know it...

Hey guys, I was reading the January issue of Mobile PC yesterday and they were doing a comparison between mobile GPUs. They tested a configured Sager 9860 with a Nvidia 6800 go against an un-named notebook with an ATI x800. The notebook with the x800 had an Athlon 3400+ CPU!!!

Is it possible for you to scan the test results?

I'll have to go pick it up at the book store then. But from what i remember the ati x800 beat the 6800 go in all tests by a minimum of 10%.

I was more excited about seeing a PCIE Athlon notebook being tested than the GPU benches.

Please scan! I need to see this article. It just sounds tooooo good... If this is true it's a well kept secret. But there is always the risk of Intel get to know about it before it comes out on the market and they will just strong arm it to never reach market. I'm just being realistic. when it comes to AMD and Intel I'm not taking anything for granted.

I honestly can't say. All they gave were the specs of the benchmarked machines. No pictures or anything. I believe the Un-named AMD64 machine had 3400+ 1 gig of ram and the x800 card. I'll stop by the book store after work and see if i can pick up a copy.

Only 6 cell battery... It never ends. There is always something sub par... Now if it had a 12 Cell battery This one would be MINE!

How much is that Arima notebook and where can you get it? Also, what are the designations for the names M22P/M24P/M26P?
