Guys:

I saw today my friend's area 51m laptop. He received his laptop last week, and his laptop came with a tv-in port.

Why in the alienware web site do not appear this information?

Here is some pictures of the laptop.

There is no TV Tuner on the A51m. They had to take it out as the GPU module takes up the space previously dedicated for a tuner if I'm not mistaken.

Exactly, tv out port is on the left side (s-video port) and it is yellow. TV-tuner port is on the right side.
Anyway, I will try to get more pictures when the tv tuner is in action.

He bought the laptop 4 to 5 weeks ago, and recevied it last week. Today he show me the laptop because I want to see the 3DMark05 Score on an ATI 9700 card. I was very surprised because I bought my laptop on June 2004, and it don't came with the tv tuner port, just with the slot covered.
I just contact my friend, and this weekend I will try to post more pictures, with the tv tuner adapter and the with the tv-tuner program running.

I've had my 51-m lappy for about 3 weeks now and mine also came with a fully functioning tv-in port. Not only that but it was shipped with the TV Tuner hardware and software to use the port. I never saw it on the web-site nor did I ask for it but yet there it is..

My Roswell-M came with a TV-in port and the S-Video out port. It even came with the video capture box to plug the coax into (also it has RCA and another S-Video built into the box) . I don't even remember ordering it but it is there on the invoice so I am not going to argue .

Thats not a TV Tuner. That is a TV OUT S-Video. That port allows you to connect to a TV (OUTPUT ONLY) and use your TV as a screen.

A TV Tuner allows to hook up a cable so you can get and watch TV channels / stations (INPUT / OUTPUT).

I dont think your right sangria7. Im looking at mine right now and it says tv in.

Some of the laptops have S-video ports in that location, but the pictures he posted are not of an S-video port, they are for an external video I/O box proprietary to the video card they have.

On the left side of my laptop there is a yellow jack with a little TV right over it, and on the right side there is one where the tuner connects, and right next to it it says TV IN. I cant figure out how the hell to use it though lol.
