Alienware area51m with TV-Tuner - Page 3

I will put up pictures of the tv tuner and the tv in port with my PS2 running on my laptop screen. I have both the tv in and the s-video out so if I really wanted to be dumb I could plug my PS2 into my tv in port (via the tv tuner) then go to a tv via the S-video port . When I put up the picture I will do my total review of my machine thus far. I am really impressed with what this thing can do. I took out in class today and people were all going, wow that's and alienware. Those who had not heard of alienware before were all like, that is an amazing computer, where did you get it. I got to show off a bit today, I enjoyed it .

Ok, did you system come with the silver tv tuner device? If so, i plugged the av cables into that. At first I only got sound also after I installed the software. Then I realized, wait a sec this is supposed to be like a real television, so that means that the cable input is probably on the initial "video 1" or what ever it is called. So, I just switched between the different videos (just like on a tv) until the picture was on the screen. It is one of the buttons on the little black box that is supposed to look like a receiver when you start the tv viewing program. I think it is right next to the button on there for adjusting the brightness and contrast for the tv tuner. Just play with those buttons until you find the right one. That is what I did. As soon as i can I will take a screen shot and show you.

I received the tv in port on the right side of my laptop and all of the tv tuner software already installed on my laptop, but I did not receive any external tv tuner device at all. I wonder if I can get this somewhere, otherwise, why did Alienware give me the tv in port and why did they install the software on my laptop?
