I purchased this Nook Color specifically because I was taking a very long trip to China and wanted to be able to read without carrying a ton of books. I also liked that it had email capability...
This is an awesome mouse with an excellent grip for a mid sized to large size hand. Right-handed, comfortable, trendy, upscale, red, responsive, functional, task oriented.
Overall A+++
Fantastic had this machine 6 months and can honestly say have had no bother with it. Plays games better than most desktops and keeps up with the rest which is outstanding for a...
What would the real difference be performance-wise between the Audigy 2 NX and the PC-Card based version?
Does the USB 2 connection use more CPU? I used to hook up my Extigy to my Logitech 4.1 system (Z-560), but now I am simply running a Boston Acoustics 2.1 system out of the headphone jack on my laptop. I actually do believe that the computer runs alot better without running the Extigy on USB.
Does this make sense or is it just me imagining things?
what do you guys think will be better for loudness and quality? Indigo or the Creative one. I was looking at the indigo but the creative is from a company i know but the indigo is probably better.
the NX requires an External power source. My beef is I play games, UT2K4 Studders with the announcer on(it's off) as well as all awards, so most sounds are off. I've got it down so the game runs practically with out a hitch, Except the first time the Link gun is fired it'll sudder. I'd love to have that whole problem gone! It may become on my to-get list, if the reviews point what I said above to be true.

What do you want to use it for?
The indigo does flawlessly clear sound through eight inch analog jacks, but doesn't support typical gaming EAX crap, nor does it do fancy surround mixing stuff.
I have the Echo Indigo... sound quality on it is frigging great, much better than the horrible sound from the built in 3790 (even through the headphone jacks on the laptop). I really doubt I'd need anything more than 2-channel audio anyway, considering that I can't really drag around a 6 piece surround sound set around with a laptop. I have my desktop to play back glorious 5.1 channel soundtracks, anyway.

Well, that would be your case. Many of us only have a DTR. It is important for us to be able to buy a product that supports both on the go AND while at home on the desk where there is a surround sound system.
ok, I got it, Damn sweet card, the sound is great, the postional sound is awesome. DVD sound was good, I'm not too dure about Music I really Haven't tested it. Gaming was GREAT.
Cons: External Speakers needed, if on batteries, all the devices LIKE power!
Pro's: Awesome sound, Now you Truely have a Desktop replacement, if card removed AC 97 sound will take back over.
its all great but discussion is kinda meaningless, since you will never get audiophile sound from a laptop, without redesigning the laptop - way too much interference from all the other components. in so far the card of your choice is fine. echo fine for stereo and if you use the lappy as dj-ing equipment, the soundblaster for gaming and i guess 5.1 /7.1 video. but for music in anything like audiophile quality you wanna buy a decent stereo / multi channel (who ever that need for music i dont know) system. and if complaining about expensive, a foot of "audiophile" speakercable can cost you over $100.
hey warden, so you are saying that the pcmia audigy 2 will take over the laptop's BUILT IN speakers when on AC power and it will not when on DC(battery) power?
If anything... that's stupid. On the DC(battery) power, that's when people REALLY NEED the built in speakers because they are not at home where they have the surround sound system and such.
