Advice : Acer TM292LCI graphics clock.

Thread Starter
I own a Acer TM292LCI laptop with the following specs :-
Pentuim M 1.5 ghz,
15'' XGA Screen,
256 mb DDR 333 Ram,
DVD Rom / CD RW combo drive,
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 64 mb
40 GB HDD.

My graphics chip is running at 392/202. I came to know that MR9700 was designed for 445/270 so I was wondering if I could increase the speed of my chip upto that without any chance of damaging my system.

Best way to do it is to incrementally increase the speed until you start getting artifacts. You can run some video performance checker in between changes to see if you're getting artifacts. Make sure you're monitoring the temperature also.

Maybe Radlinker or some other tool can be used to OC the card.

EDIT: Even if you do this, there is always a chance that you can damage the system. Which is why overclocking is not supported by any company.
