I read in one of the threads that it is possible.

Best way to really know is to just call Alienware.

Unfortunately, you may not be able to. If you'd like to inquire about it, you can contact our Customer Service.

Would a reputable company let you upgrade your warranty while still in the one year factory warranty period?

You can upgrade your Dell warranty anytime during the one year warranty period.

Yeah, but AW isn't Dell. AW does thing all goofy. I got the 3 year warranty right off the bat... just incase. Is it true that if somethign breaks within my 3 year warranty, AW replaces it with the latest version?

I also heard that if your AW gets a virus that destroys everything, hardware and what not, your warranty is VOID? Is this true?

No such virus exists. (I seriously doubt that is possible)

However, we can't support viruses as it is part of the customer's own personal computer security. Your warranty is not void from receiving a virus. The most you would probably have to do is format and reinstall.
