M35-S456 Discontinued?

I went to CompUSA to buy it.. but they told me it was discontinued. They then suggested the M35X-S349 which isn't as good. I went to Circuit City and all they had were 3 open boxes. It seem like a nice notebook too.

it is true. i've looked everywhere and there was none. except it's still on toshiba's site. weird.

whaat ?!! is the M35-S456 -- Discontinued?

is ther something worng with this computer that i just got? does anyone know for sure if toshiba is gone take it of the Shelves because ther is somting worng with that model ?!

Special Edition?

I don't think there is anything wrong with this computer - maybe the "Special Edition" is just that, it is a special edition

Actually, I work at Circuit City and might be able to provide some insight to this (and other potential) question(s). They discontinued the model, so we stopped purchasing them (obviously) and sold out our remaining stock. As to why they discontinued it, I believe it is likely that they discontinued the model as part of their annual model rotation. Hope this helps.

hey, does anyone know where I can get a cheap 12cell battery for this M35-S456 notebook? I want to get one since the original doesn't run that long. Also, does anyone who use this notebook think the fan is noisy? I have had this notebook for 3 months, but somehow I think the fan is noisy when it is on. Since it is my first notebook, so I want to hear your opinion. Thanks...

Try Ebay! I got mine off Ebay for $35... not sure if you can still nab one for that price but it should be less than $50 if any are left!
