Everytime I call I get a different answer.

My computer was due to ship a week ago. I have not received it and it is still in phase 6, but Nick the manager told me Thursday it would ship today. However, everytime I call the rep. tells me a new reason my computer is still in phase six and a week behind. Has anyone else had this problem of being lied to and feeling as if the wonderful Alienware reps. really have no idea but tell you whatever they can to get you off the phone?
I ordered my 51m over a month ago and they are claiming if you order the same computer, parts and settings, I order that it will still ship by October 20. So they get theirs in 10 days and it has been a month and I am told it will be a week or longer before I get mine. I can post an email I sent to alienware but that is way too long to put here.
The guy at alienware even told me he was the one that was suppose to to process my payment, but he forgot to process it for nine days and he would have continued to forget about it if I had not called in after nine days in the payment phase. Is this the A+ customer service that everyone receives?

The more I read posts like this, I think of Alienware's sales department sitting in a cubicle with David Spade...

"Let me check with my supervisor." *hold* "Yep, still no!"

(Capital One commercial, by the way).

I had the same problem ask to speak to Nicks supervisor, I think her name was Adriana. She is the top of the food chain in Customer Service and is far more helpful than I found Nick to be. Good luck, hope you get your system in a timely manner

Here is the description of Phase 6

Quote:
Phase 6: (Inventory Audit)
The inventory that will be used to custom build your PC has now been inspected. Please be aware that a back-order situation might or might not exist in this phase. If a back-order situation does exist, it should not impede your order's progress. In the rare occurrence that a back-order causes a delay, you will be notified immediately via e-mail. The part in question will also be identified in the e-mail.
Have you received an e-mail in regards to backorder?

Although that is what one of the reps claims to be the reason why my computer is taking so long, but I have never been notified like they say you will be notified.

So True!! Although, in the commercial they put you on hold for a few seconds. At AW you are put on hold multiple times for a very very long time
