ive heard of this distro. what does everyone think? im looking to try linux for first time but im a beginner.any opinions with this message thankyou in advance

Horrible, over-hyped BS. Go standard: Mandrake or SUSE for starters, Debian & Gentoo afterwards.

I completely agree with Mikhail here. There is no point to ever using Linspire. I believe that Mandrake is the best one to get introduced to linux with.

I downloaded the iso just because. Never really gave it any serious consideration. One of these days I may accidentaly burn it and leave it in the drive.

Mandrake has been great for me. It installed correctly off the bat and I've been learning linux on it for long enough that I'll be able to install a juicier distro soon. Only drawbacks are the 4 cd download and it's one of the more dumbed down distros, but that's good if you want to learn linux but also get work done at the same time.
