Help: 8790 randomly resets itself (no warning or shutdown)

I have the equivalent of the sager 8790 here in Australia, which is a Millennia 7201. I've owned it for 2 weeks now, and updated the BIOS to 10 a week ago. Ever since then once a day (at random times) the laptop just resets - no warning, it screen just goes blank then it shows the boot screen (detecting hard disk, bios, etc).

My spec is:
Millennia 7201 (Same as Sager 8790)
P3.4, 1Gig DDR400, WSXGA+ (1680x1050), 60GB 7200RPM HD
ATI driver updated to latest 30-Sep on Sager site

When the resets starting occuring it was just after I updated the bios, updated the ATI video driver, and installed various bits of software tools (which I've used on my other PC's ok).

Anyone else experienced this?

Sorry, just wanted to add that this is the most amazing notebook I've ever seen and used!

Back out things one at a time and see if the problem persists. Do you have SP2 installed? I ask because some software does not run well (at all) under SP2.

I just ran Memtest-86 v3.1 on my system and after 2 passes it has detected 389 errors.

All were on test 6, most errors (70%) report memmap around 660 or 750. another 30% around 150 or 240.

The Memtest website suggests not all errors reported will be real errors.

Could be faulty memory module?

Anyone else run this test with errors?

Take out one module and retest. Then take out the other module and again retest. Then swap the modules and retest. Sometimes that helps. Also sometimes just reseating the memory makes the problem go away.
