Fan Control Software

I searched the forum and didn't find anything. I have a 5690 and the fan seems to run louder or at a higher rate of speed than other notebooks I've had. Is there a fan control software available? When I had a Dell, I used a ifangui program that seemed to control fan speed. Thanks

try maxfan by a guy named henrik on this forum. I dont know if he has developed it for the 5690; you would have to check. But it is a really cool program, apparently. Just use the search button and search for maxfan and see what you find.

it says only the 5670 and 5680, but it works for the 5690 also

MaxFan just, uh, turns your fans onto max, I believe. So it wouldn't really help you. The only way to get the fans to turn on less would be to somehow alter the environment or the geometry of the laptop such that it gets better cooling, or a BIOS change that tweaks the limits of its 'fan on' and 'fan off' conditions.

Anyone know any commerical mobo programs that control fans and monitor heat etc?
