Couple of points we all need to remember:

1. Posting here is not a right...its a priviledge. So get off your stumps and put the flag back on the flagpole.

2. When you slander people at a company on this forum, you are dragging the owners of the forum into this mess (legally) and leave them wide open for prosecution from the law. Yes...this IS America and people love to call their lawyers. Case in point a few pages back.

3. PCTorque pays hundreds of dollars a day to supply us with these message boards...their well being comes before your private war of words...Period.

4. We as mods have never said you cannot bitch, whine and moan about your less-than-favorable experiences with Alienware, their computers or services. In fact, I clearly state a few pages back that you SHOULD be posting things like this so Alienware can see what's going on and adjust their policies if needs be.

But whenever we step in and actually Moderate (Oh god, Not the Moderator Moderating ) we get all kinds of flack. But understand, we only moderate when people unknowingly put PCTorque and the integrity of these forums in jeapordy.

And those of you naming names DID JUST THAT. Whether you understand the letter of the law or not. You've violated that letter and the rules of this forum.

We've stuck with our morals from Day 1 and have built up one hell of a community in a very short time and have no intention of bending the rules.

I know of another forum that would just love to have you join up if you feel we're in the wrong.

Look at all the great things happening. Alienware is here in an official manner to help out, we've got some great members that take part on a daily basis, we're hosted by a great bunch of people that truly have a passion for computers and gaming and show no signs of membership slowing...at all.

These forums are here to stay. Are you? I hope so, I really do.

If AW was smart, they would put together a pre-order option for all the people that want 9700 cards, then they would be able to purchase the appropriate amount to please everyone. You would think all of the people calling them wanting the 9700 would be a clue to the demand. When there is demand you gotta have supply...

sometimes i think Alienware purposely under stock parts, to make the machines more exclusive, more popular and can charge more... Dell on the other hand, overstocks on parts so they are able to pump out a ton more machines for less cost, but charge normal prices....

Or maybe they have such a high demand that they can't keep them in stock.

thanks to PCTORUE, not alienware, we have a great forum like this to express our ideas and get help with our computers. I have not dealt with pctorque but it seems like they care more about their customers than alienware does. thanks for making that point craig.

craig, how come we can name reps when they help, but when they treat you like crap and are not helpful we cannot name names?

Ask the lawmakers. And yes, these forums are subject to the laws and regulations of the United States of America.

It is foolish to think that the mods of this forum will control what is posted by its members. If there is something that a member would like to share with other members (and guests) about an experience they had with Alienware, then that is exactly what these forums are here for.

It is even more noticably foolish when members attempt to create an atmosphere in this forum where they would like people to think that the moderators are acting in a censoring, non-American way where they are having posts deleted or edited in an effort to protect Alienware from any negative discussion. That will not happen. The existance of this thread is proof of that.

But keep in mind, as you use the information in these forums and share information with others, that moderators have guidlines that need to be followed to ensure that this forum will remain the same forum that people enjoy on a daily basis. moderators will act on any situation that falls within these guidlines, and actions of a moderator do not need to be explained.

so why doesn't it take Dell 30+ days to build your PC? Hmmmm?
Dell has a good Just-In-Time inventory system, where all or most of their suppliers are around their factory, translating to a minimum downtime due to lack of parts.

Doesn't Dell also have pre-made machines in stock all the time?

Because they are not built by humans and are built by referbished Terminators that were rejected from T3.
