New here, first post.

I've had my 700m for about a month now and someone can take it away from me when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers. I like my gadgets small (laptop, cell phones, mp3 players, etc.) and I hate Apple with a passion so the 700m was an obvious choice with its beautiful screen. I don't game at all so that wasn't even a consideration. I bought mine from someone used and it came with the 4 cell. Unless you feel like bringing the adaptor with you, get the 8. It's that simple. I throw the adaptor in my bookbag along with my 700m (in a Booq sleeve) and college books and its no big deal at all to me. Of course, I am prior military and I am used to "humping" 80 lb "rucks" too, so...

I'll post photos of my setup later. Basically, I have the 1.6, 512, 60 gig HD @5400. My girlfriend has the 1.8 and I don't notice any difference at all. I should be getting the 1 gig stick of Crucial ram from Newegg in the mail in the next couple of days so that should make me zoom just fine.

Some people hate the keyboard. I have thick fingers and I am word processing for up to 5 hours a day and I have no problems. It took about a day to get used to but after that, "normal" sized keyboards seem huge, awkward, and dumb.
