anything think there will be a big performance increase between 2 different ram configs i specifically got my XPS for WOW and and 750 bucks for an extra 1gb seems a lot but if its such a big performance increase i'd do it. if it wont even relaly matter im not gonna bother.

I've played WoW on my XPS...and on a two year old 8500....performance was about the same. It's a very low-poly game.

If you're ever giving serious consideration for EQ2 though, I'd go with the 1GB now and upgrade to 2GB down the line.

I see no reason to get 2GB of RAM. I've been reading the beta forums and it sounds like you need nowhere near that amount of memory. From what I've read, 512 is good, 1GB is more than sufficient.

Well I've played the beta on my 9100 with 512 and it works perfectly. I always run it at max rez and high settings and works with no lag

WoW ran great for me on 1g. Really nice looking game and simple interface. Very pleasing

By the time games absolutely need 1 gig let alone 2 gigs of ram your videocard and processor will be to slow to keep up.

I wouldn't say it's a *VERY* low poly game. That's EQ. This game looks *MUCH* better, and runs much faster on faster video cards. I tried it on my MR9700 versus my desktop's AIW 9700 PRO with a slower CPU (Athlon XP 2000+), and it was much, much faster on my desktop with the more powerful card. (Looked a lot better too with the graphics sliders set to high too.)
