You missed my post on page 5

Note: aside from the omega drivers, system is 100% stock. Should be formatting soon with everything up to date. Hope to break 20k on 2k1.

You MR9800 guys disgust me.

Are you overclocking your 3.0E whack? I might have to format a little sooner than expected to come up with a challenge
Edit: I see you're at 222FSB, NM

Here's 20,833 Still untweaked for the most part. On to 2k1.

yeah i am oc'ing my fsb... can only get so much out of the 9800... I am untweaked for the most part now too. I leave the driver at the stock settings other than overclock.

How far are you pushing your 3.2? What kind of heat do you get with the memory at 450? Artifiacts?

Nice to have some competition by the way...

20,833 was at 3.51GHz. Here is 3.6GHz. (21k baby) I'm artifact free @ 459/450. At 480 I get slight memory artifacts, so I don't know my absolute "artifact free" limit yet. GPU heat @ 26C idle ATM.

Not tweeking, no OC, no reinstall... just updated my BIOS and Driver (Dell Drivers)

3DMARK03 Score: 6465

Date: 2004-11-04
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3392 MHz
GPU: Generic VGA
115 MHz / 115 MHz
OS: Microsoft Windows XP

2k3 updated with CPU overclock (same GPU speed)

As expected, the CPU overclock did next to nothing for 2k5: 3580

Whack: whats the secret to the 3800 score?

Jesus, I wouldn't dare pushing my gpu that far... Tried (for fun) to take to 550/450 yesterday, without benchmarking it - the screen just made i hissing sound and froze up in multiple colors No harm done, but I'll be much more conservative when oc'ing in the future.

396ss, how do you OC the CPU?

Sorry guys, busy with exams and such at the moment so no time to stay and look at all the scores and add them right now..... but keep 'em coming! When I finish nxt week I will do a huge update I promise

I used CPUFSB ,selected ASUS P4C800 (P4S800 will also work), and went into fine tuning. I woudln't recommend pushing the CPU too much over the stock speed unless the ambient temperature is pretty cool. My 3.2E runs 52C Idle / 66C load. Damn hot, and thats only stock speed.

ttt, keep em coming

im done for a bit... gonna save my gpu for a new tweak... with the info on the new m28 GPU we are now speculating the possibility of the m18 using the same core but having 4-8 locked pipes.

Why would ATI waste money on many different cores when they could make a "superior" core and be able to lock it into different configurations.

This would explain why I can overclock my GPU by more than 100mhz. I find that odd on the amount we can o'c and remain stable with minimal temp increase. there is something fishy and i am grabbing my pole and casting my line and waiting...

Even though you are done for a bit, care to explain how you managed a kick ass 2k5 score of 3800 at only 445 core / 400 memory?

OK guys, have finally had the time to go back to the FAQ and update the scores. 396ss has burst onto the scene with some impressive overclocking scores, there are still plenty of places to score in though and competition among the overclockers (or at least two of 'em...) seems to have started. I will be able to keep updated now as no more exams... should have enough time when on to do it.

Just note it may not survive in current form with the plans I have to overhaul the FAQ situation.... big plans and a lot of work is gonna go in here which may see the 3D Mark competition expanded to its own thread, and with more sections so that owners of other models can participate.... but I haven't decided yet. If that was the case though, don't fear as all current scores will be retained and moved over.

Cheers, and keep on benchin!
