Upgrading Memory in 700m

Thread Starter
I'm just about to convince myself to order a 700m. I've been comparing the 700m to the Alienware Sentia and in order to level the playing field in the memory part of this comparison I would need to purchase my own memory and upgrade the Dell myself.

But then I see this comment "SDRAM Configuration: 2 SoDIMM slots (one user-accessible)". Is this really telling me I can't upgrade one of the memory sticks?

My thoughts were two sticks of http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...tCode=80098-03

The documentation only shows a single slot easily accesible, so the 2nd must be buried inside somwhere, requireing you to take it apart to change that one.

You can upgrade both slots. it is just one is not simply accessible through a hatch on the bottom. Please see the General FAQ (linked in sig), there is information on replacing memory in there that will assist you.

The second stick is located under the keyboard. It can be changed, just not as easily.
