Dead SD Card

Hey alll,

Do the SD Memory Cards go bad? My MP3 player does not work anymore. Basically, if i try to access the drive through explorer it says "insert Disk into drive". If i try to format it gives me an error message "cannot format"

Any ideas?

Make sure the lock (small white tab on the side) has not moved. I had this happen before because the SD Card is a tight fit in my camera. The tab got moved about a quater of the way and I got a corrupted card message and it would not format. So I checked the lock and moved it up and down a couple of times and then was able to reformat it. The camera formated the card for me.

Tried playing with the switchy thing. No go.

I do not have any other SD cards, i guess that is my next step..
