so I started benchmarking my new 8790.
Did 3dmark03 (340) with stock drivers that came installed as of two weeks ago, stock settings etc. and only got 3275....
it seemed 
strangley low
I tried closing some stuff in my task bar to make sure that had nothing to do with anything and got 3269.... just not good enough 
Then this afternoon first thing I did from a cold boot was benchmark and got 3295...
Upped the GPU settings to Adam's recommended 460/290 and got 3623...
When Adam benchmarked the brand new 8790 in March he got 3,381 off the stock settings then, and at 460/290 3,748 - this was all with the pre-installed Sager drivers at the time.
Why am I 100 points off doing apparently exactly what Adam did, except with possibly some updated software that has come out since March?
If anything shouldn't I be doing better ?
