closing laptop?

Whenever I fold down the screen on my 8600 it always logs me off the internet. Is there anyway to chane the settings so that it wo'nt do this?

logs off? Perhaps when you close your lid it goes to suspend mode? Change the settings in the Power Profiles. (RClick Desktop -> Screen Saver -> Power)

Yup. He must have his settings to go to standby... which, if you are using a modem (dial-up), might log you off.
