8790 keyboard weirdness

Thread Starter
I have an 8790 laptop which has been most excellent, with one quirk. When I type rapidly (in any application), the cursor will often suddenly jump up or down several rows, as if "page up" or "page down" were being hit. I am fairly accurate in my typing and cannot see how I would be accidentally be hitting these keys. I've also been taking care to keep my hands away from the touchpad as I type.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Could it be related to the keyboard macro software? Anyone had a solution?

I had the same problem with my GX7. Never could figure it out and it still does it once in a while, however, not as much as when I first started it up the first time around. Man, it is annoying when it happens and if you don't catch it, it really screws up what you're working on.

In the MOUSE PROPERTIES there is a "TAPPING" TAB. Select this and then locate and check the box labled "Tap off when typeing". That should do the trick for you.
