Retinal displays

I heard about this about 3 years ago in something like PCMag, but haven't heard anything since. Has anyone here heard anything?

The below invester troll is vague on timeframe and price, and wouldn't stand on its own. But if it were to be released, would change the computing, communications, and entertainment landscapes.

That just scared the sh!t out of me. Unfortunately, we can't turn back the clock on something like this.

that made a lot of sense, but people wouldn't be able to watch a movie in theatres unless everyone had one of these devices pointed at them which pretty much destroys the point of going to the theatre in the first place. that's not really a bad thing tho, I'm tired of paying close to $10 for a ticket. This kind of stuff would be perfect for laptops and cellphones tho. I'd like to know more about how that micromirror works
