Spyware Disaster

My grandmother's computer is infested with spyware, you cant hardly do anything without the effects of it. What is the fastest and most complete way of getting all the spyware off the computer. What is the best program I should use, and what is the best way to prevent this from happening in the future.

Run them, run a virus scanning program, install a free firewall such as Sygate, upgrade her to SP2.

Back-up her data, format and reinstall windows, and download Spybot S&D. Run the immunize function on there and that will help a lot.
