System Recovery Application Help on Sony S-Series

Has anyone used the system recovery application yet on an s-series notebook. What about using it after installing windows service pack 2 ??

I have an S170 that arrived last week. It was perfectly until I installed the windows service pack 2. Since then, I have had a variety of problems, especially with network connectivity since installing service pack 2 and would like to simply go back to the original factory settings and reconfigure everything.

Does anyone know of any cautionary tales I need to be aware of before doing so???
