Yeah mine gets pretty hot too. I recently got a new one that has a fan in it that turns on intermittently.

Thats cool, where did you get a power adapter with a fan on it?

Yeah both of mine get pretty hot. I have one with a fan and one without - I got a spare one (with a fan - got it from Sager via PCT) after I read that thread about the one that exploded as I was moving to England and couldn't do without my laptop if anything happend to the power supply. But yeah, they do get hot.

I got it as a replacement when my other one quit. You could probably get one from sager as a replacement.

That's strange... My ps was cutting out (did if it was hot or not eg in the first 5min or after a hour or two) but I took it back to Sager, a couple of weeks ago, and they replaced it with an identical ps, eg no fan... Don't see why the difference. This one is not as hot though, so fingers crossed.
On a different note, and to sing Sager's support... I dropped the beast the other day (still working happily) but I broke the screen retention hooks... emailed Sager as to how much for a new catch assembly... they have sent me one FOC... Now that's support, bet the bigs guy would give advice for free let alone spare parts!!!
