I thought $359 was too expensive yesterday too, especially considering the deal was so cheap. My price would've jumped from near $900 to over $1,200. I just feels better to buy a 9100 for under a $1000.
When you think about it, you could buy two consoles for the price of the 9800...an X-box and a PS2.
I think the 64MB will be fine for most of the games I play. Maybe that will change when HL2 comes out, then I'll decide whether I want to upgrade to the 9800 or not. I've also seen some games coming out next year that will definitely need the 9800, like F.E.A.R. and Elder Scrolls IV. Anyway, by the time those come out, I might buy another notebook.
ComputerGeek737 has some pretty decent scores with his overclocked 64MB 9700. I would be satisfied with numbers close to those. To me, I didn't think I would be getting an extra $90 of performance out of another 64MB on the 9700.
