First I would like to say that you couldnt pry my lappy from my cold dead hands!
I would guess the problem mainly had to do with the size and weight of the unit. That is a bit of a turn off when you have the 8600 out there turning numbers not too far off the 9100 with a Pentium M. Match that up with the MR9800 and you will have a formidable combination that will get WAY better battery life. This is what I have heard requested and it looks like dell may answer.
Still, try to beat my 9100.... I dare ya.
**Plus** Dell is sending me a replacement laptop for this one and is having problems fulfilling because the 2.8HT P4 is no longer carried by Dell and they are having to give me a faster CPU for free! I think they are fulfilling the 9100 replacements from the European stock for now until they run out....
Who knows, maybe an XPS will show up on my doorstep instead. That would be cool.
