Sager 88XX conversion/uprgade options?

Hello, I have a Sager 8887, and was curious about two things that perhaps someone here might have some insight into:

1. Is there still an upgrade path offered by Sager....to the next model up, or however they were doing it?

2. Is it in any way possible to convert a laptop (namely, the 8887) into a desktop computer...will the mobo fit in a certain style chassis?

2. Nope... unless you consider putting your 8887 on the desk a 'desktop'.

I know the 8890 is no longer made, but where did you verify that you could no longer upgrade an 8887 to 8890 components? Thnx.

Ahh good point. Sager may still have 8890 components laying around. I guess I wasn't thinking about that. if you want to upgrade to the 8890 you're best off contacting Sager directly to make sure they still have some components.

they should offer an upgrade for the 8890 to the next gen stuff. how much harder is it to model a mobo to a chasis?
