first time here, very nice place.. wish i had found it earlier.

i ordered a 700m too, here's my status if it helps at all:

I don't believe it to be Dell's fault either but I have the same problem.

I found out that Dell will ship mine out of Mesquite, TX which is halfway between dallas and houston. Whether I paid for overnight or 3-5 day, it still would only take 1 transit day. UPS is closed on Sat and Sun (I will get mine Monday).

So Next day shipping for Texas is a waste!

I just canceled my 8600 order (at least I hope its canceled). Going to place a new one tommorw probbly.

Well, I've just gotten the great news. They shipped today!!!!! But.... keep in mind I ordered on the 13th before the $750.00 Coupon so a lot of you here did a lot better than I did on ship times. Keep your chins up fella's I guess they will eventually ship sooner or later.

My 8600 shipped today from Nashville Tennesee and is expected to arrive monday. I ordered it 10 minutes after the release of the $750 coupon.

I hope all the rest of you guys get yours this week as well. I can hardly wait.

man that sucks, i ordered mine 10 mines after the coupon went live... and im still in "in production" ... and i ordered my second notebook 5 minutes after that, and it's at the same status. lucky bastid.

This kind of thing ALWAYS happens to me.... I mean EVERY time I order something. I didn`t get next day this time for that reason and sure enough, my expected ship date was Friday the 5th of Nov. Now, with a little luck, I may get it before then. I checked the order status 1 hr. ago and it has gone through kitting, build and testing already. Hopefully I`ll have her by the 5th.

On Dell's website, they say they are currently having shipping delays under 700M.

Yay, my 600m shipped today! It says "shipped - in transit to local carrier". Hopefully I should have it early next week! BTW I had ordered mine about 7:30am PST on the coupon day :-)
