External monitor with 5660

Thread Starter
What¢¥s the quality of display if I connect an external monitor to the 5660? I hear that external display depends much on quality of the video card. I know that ATI makes good video cards, but how is the quality of its mobile video cards when connected to an external monitor?

I am getting dark display with some settings, and I hear some other people on this board saying the same thing.

Do you think the quality of Radeon M9 is as good as a Desktop ATI when connecting to an external monitor?

I am not talking of 3D or gaming performance, but rather brightness-sharpness-focus-color range.

I don't see why it shouldn't be the same as the desktop counterpart. It's essentially the same thing.

The older 5660 external display output is dim and the only thing you can do is make sure you're using a display that is bright and turn it up. The 5680 and 8890 external diaplays are much better now.

There was a long thread about this in the forums you'll find with search.
