To add to the original topic of the thread, the 51m is meant to be plugged in, in my opinion. The fact it runs on batteries is like a plus... you can jack it down to way low power settings and use Microsoft word in school with two batteries for the whole day (which is what I do). If you honestly have the time to load up Far Cry or Doom 3, you have the time to plug the cord in because the amount of time it takes to plug it into an outlet = amount of time windows + video game load is.
And about it being heavy... my I don't know what my backpack is in kilos or grams or whatever, but in pounds it weighed 34 before I got my lappy, now with all my lappy stuff and being able to condense my notes onto a hard drive instead of binders it's down to 17 lbs. That includes extra batteries, carrying my AC adapter, one math book, and one binder, as well as a few video games that I play at lunch.
