my umax scanner died today after 5 years of faithful use. i ran to best buy, circuit city, and target. target was the only one with this thing of beauty made by HP. it's an all in one device: printer, copier, scanner....and it's a paltry $100! i paid $150 in back-in-the-day dollars for the umax! a few hours into using this thing and i am beside myself with pubescant glee...kinda like the day i saw fatal attraction and sharon stone crossed her leggums....well that's a whole different post in itself...anyway the prints are near laser quality and the scanner and included software are seamless. the copier is slightly less than adequate for color but hey, how you say, $100. it's design is apple quality, looks great on the desk. it's the HP 1210V
. check it out if you're in the market.
