hehehe! thanks! mexico played like they never played on the world cup, it didn't seem that we were playing against 10 instead of 11

MoeRL,

I use the Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG Network program thingy with a Linksys Wireless Router (WRT54G) and have never had a problem. It runs great in my house.

Hi guys,

I've just tried to update the drivers to the latest Catalyst Mobility 6.6 and it all went well. Because i've seen that there were some problems, this was what i did:

1) downloaded the utility that downloads the drivers from here
2) unpacked the drivers to a folder and canceled the instalation.
3) manually updated the graphic card driver (even without a proper uninstall of the previous 4.4.5.10a DNA drivers...

and that's it... at least it works... maybe it lacks the rest of the components as the ati control panel, but ill try to do a full install after this one!

---------

full install done and i now have the Catalyst Control Center and The Catalyst 6.6 Drivers working fine, it just messed the resolutions on the first boot, but now it is ok with 1680x1050... I will do some gaming tests tomorrow but this Catalyst Control sure is high tech

Oh man Dase you just saved my life. I was close to a heart attack when I read about the Refresh Force solution. Funny thing is I already needed this prog back in the days before I had a Notebook but I didn't think it could help me out with my problems on those new drivers.
But what's really wierd: They work for me anyway in Windows and even in HL2 the only moments the LCD was artifacting was when I tried older games like BF1942.

OH well who cares as long as it works now, right?

Oh and by the way, tmgp thanks for the great work! I'm about to format c: and this thread is exactly what I needed

(The Catalyst Mobility is up to 6.8 by now )

thanks for the info! this new catalyst have a great feature that is to force the refresh rate to 75Hz. Games like the new "Outrun Coast2Coast" that gave a direct3d error can now be enjoyed with no tricks

USB desperation !!

OK, this is not a reply but a kind of new thread that I post here instead of opening a real one, since is the most appropriate place in the forums.
My NP 3790-V has major problems reading USB storage devices as memory pens etc.
Now I have a new cute Toshiba cellphone that would like to use as a storage drive through USB ....no way. Every time I plug it explorer freezes until I unmount it somehow.
I think is a USB drivers problem .....any clue where to find new updated one to try ?

Help !

gio - I'd suspect "Power" first over a driver issue.
G-Omaha, thanx for your reply.
You mean ...the "power" from USB ports does not support the devices that are not selfpowered (as an external hard ("hard") drive) ?
In that case why does not work with my cellphone that runs on his own battery ?
If it is the case ....any suggestion for fixing ?
Gio,

You didn't mention that in your 1st post. If all devices are self powered, I think that I would deinstall of the USB devices and re-boot. That way WINDOWS will instal all of the latest drivers that you have.

Which version of WINDOWS aare you running and do you have all of the service packs installed?
Dear G-Omaha,
I tried all triable !! Nothing. I tried to reupdate windows and, as you suggested, to disinstall all the USB ports and to restart and let windows redetect .....nothing. The USB connection with my Toshiba cellphone and with a couple of drice pens still make windows explorer to freeze.
Plus ....after the day of attempt I've lost bluetooth connectivity !!! Keeps saying: Bluetooth decisec not found ......AHHH! I reinstall everything but nothing got better.

I'm not responsible if you break your laptop, this BIOS is intended to be used on a Sager 3790 laptop although I have tested it in my Hundyx (Clevo) M37EW with no problems.
If you think you're not sure what to do, please... DON'T DO IT.

Anyway, here's the link for the BIOS update (it will update to version 2.07): http://www.torrentlinux.com/M37EW/379bv207.zip

Instructions:
1. Download HERE
2. Extract the file: 379bv207.iso (there's only one... so it's easy ).
3. Burn 379bv207.iso to a CDRW (if you want you can burn to a CDR but I think it's a waste of money...). Anyway, it's up to you
4. Use the disc to boot your laptop and follow screen's instructions

PS: Derepente, Could you send me the file they sent you to make sure we have the same file, please? Mail: mranonym{I.hate.spam}@gmail.com Thanks in advance
first sorry for my engish.
i have clevo m37ew and i make update bios with 379bv207.iso and i have problem with my fn and ctrl keys is not working well.Cant i bring back my old bios? thanks.
