There's a new AC97 driver, A4.01 (8/17/07).

@Monkton: Memtest x86 is I believe by far the best tool for checking your RAM.

Formated HD . DL New ATI DRIVER getting 16 colors only saying DRIVER is not supported should I dL something else for it to work ???

did you forced the 1680x1050 @ 75Hz with refreshforce? U have to do it with the latest drivers, othrewise it will always mess up...

my... haven't been here for a long time... using a corporate hp compaq now, so my warrior clevo is resting...

maybe i'll post a last update to the drivers before selling it!

sellout! do you mean "corporate" as in your company paid for it, or as in a compaq biz version? i would understand the move to hp if it was free for you. either way, i appreciate you starting this thread and keeping the drivers updated. it's been very helpful. thanks, tmgp, and good luck in hp-land.

Myself - my 3790 is getting close to 4 years old now so i'm starting to look around at new rigs. i'm considering either sager or asus, but leaning towards sager. i love the options available on the 9262 but a) it's ugly; and, b) it's damned expensive. my other option is the 5792. wish it had a core2 quad option.

using window 7

cant find vga driver ati mr 9700 driver , or let say 'working' vga driver ???

windows 7 work great on sager 3790 , only vga driver is problem

can somebody help?

Try the Vista driver version for it. It should work.

That would be great if you could update the drivers list. I really like that this computer is stable. I wanted to see if I could upgrade to Windows 7. Have you done that ?

Milopet, did you ever find drivers that worked with windows 7? I wanted to do this upgrade as well. My concerns are:
Getting the camera to work
Having stable drivers (for everything) but especially video card?
Having the ability to use WLAN?
Have the ability to use Bluetooth?

How are you getting along?

Oh heck yes! Somebody let me know too! I found a nearly pristine NP3790 the other day for practically nothing. I want to get Windows 7 on it and put it on eBay. I've been dinking with the 9700 driver but no joy. I may put a bounty on that driver. I'll be happy to offer any assistance on the rest since most everything else seems to be working for me.

'Cept the dang camera! LOL!

I let Windows 7 picking up whatever it finds for my 9700 on the net (or via updates) and be done with it.

There are various degrees of "doesn't work" here. The WDM 9700 driver doesn't recognize the LCD. That's the one you get from Window Update. Not sure if I'm doing things correctly with the Mobility Modder and a driver from hardwareheaven.com, probably not... The XP driver won't let me use Aero. I'd really like to get the Windows Experience scores up a bit which I'll use for a baseline after I modify the machine and benchmark it.

Yup. Everything looks good except: No video from the camera, a base system device with no driver and the USB driver is reporting an error but works. Other than that it runs like a champ.

Best bet would be is to find out a similar model and go hunting W7/Vista driver for it. Gericom or Clevo or even Gateway come to mind.

It looked so awful before I thought surely that's not the right driver. Apparently it is. I'm gonna retrofit that sucker with a new 2 mega-pixel camera. Got one right here...

Edit:
Oh! And if you get that WPD Volume Driver error go into Disk Manager and change the drive letter of your memory device. Changed mine to Z... It may take a few for the error to go away.
