If you don't use the intel prowireless, just go to the hardware manager on the system icon on control panel, and adjust the options that Derepente is speaking about over the advanced tab of the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection
I don't have an english XP, so i'm sorry if any of the above names are wrong

hi guys,

i installed the BIOS from the first side on my clevo.
now my FN and STRG keys are mixed up.

Can anyone tell me where your keys are? maybe the german layout is another than yours... my FN-Key is in the down left corner. The next one on the right is the STRG-Key. How about you?

I guess we have the same problem

I've got a Spanish keyboard and FN and CTRL keys are mixed too. I don't really mind; I think that it's better because I'm used to have CRTL key at the down left corner of the keyboard and here it wasn't until I updated the BIOS

I think it will be solved with a keyboard BIOS update provided by an european vendor
post #64 of 245
thanks for the info. well it is really not a problem, but maybe i ask my vendor for the original european bios.

European BIOS

If you get a european update of the BIOS, don't forget to tell us (and upload it somewhere) if it works

When I try to flash the BIOS on my 3790 to 2.08, it gives me an error: Invalid flash ID, AA55H. What does this mean? How can I get the BIOS installed?

I don't know if anybody will know the answer to this question.. but what is changed/added between the 2.07 and 2.08 BIOSes?

Thanks

Zero-Point - Thanks for the modem drivers... I've added the info to the main post at the beginning of the thread

As for the bios... it would be good if clevo would make a proper launch of them... but i guess that they're busy with the new clevo m38aw, the sonoma replacement of our fine notebook!
Does anyone know what the BIOS 2.08 addresses?

Thanks!

What modem is it you speak of? Do you mean the phone modem? I take it you don't mean the RealTek LAN adapter driver.

Correct ... I refer to the modem as the SmartLink 56K Modem. I usually refer to the LAN adapter as a NIC.
