R3000Z series notebook w/ 8x dvd burner
Does anyone have this drive? I am taking a hard look at it, but my question is can it use 4x media to write 8x? I am looking at cutting that (save $50) and going from a AMD64 3400 to AMD64 3200 (save $50) for $100 savings in total.
I cannot find 8x media at the place that I normally shop, so I am wondering if it make any sense to buy the drive anyway. The 200 mhz in power, I do not think makes a difference in a computer this fast... maybe I am wrong... everything I currently run, operates fine on a pent 2.4.
