From someone who actually owned an Area51m, I can attest that they get 2 hours of word processing and internet suring while about 1 hour and 15 minutes of full on 3D gaming. Your "friend" obviously doesn't own the latest AW laptop...but so you know, the Sager 8790 (A Falcon Fragbook) gets about 20 minutes of 3D gaming...read the review of it in the PCTorque threads on these very forums.
Your fragbook is considered the most overpriced laptop going considering you can get the same exact thing from any number of other retailers for 30% less cost...but what was it you said? Oh ya...the Hype factor PWNED you. How ignorant and trolling of a post could that have been?
The build quality on the A51m is second only to the Apple ibooks...period.
The Sentia was never, ever billed as a gaming laptop so anyone that purchased one thinking they could pull 60fps in new games just didn't understand what they were getting into. That's why on the AW website they say "Gaming Laptop" for the Area51m and "Home/Home Office" for the Sentia.
Quite honesty, I'm getting sick of you people. I post from experience. I swear to ****ing god my best friend has an A51m, 3.06 p4, blah blah blah.. Oh, that's right, I forgot to mention that when that version of the 51m came out, it came with a hyperthreading processor, and it didn't use it? Alienware's build quality sucks. How is this a lie? His notebook can only last about 25-40 minutes on the battery while gaming. What's the point of even having a "Gaming" Laptop then? I never said that falcon's price was on-par with anyone, nor did I deny that they're overpriced...
I'm just one of the few people that see through their price premium. Falcon builds the HIGHEST QUALITY PCs / Laptops on the market imo. They are overpriced, but if you want quality, you're going to pay for it. I looked at all of the alternatives to the Fragbook TL (CL56), and decided to go Falcon for a few reasons:
1) Warranty. 3 Year overnight shipping on the whole thing. 1 dead pixel? New display.
2) Tech support. These guys KNOW what they're doing, and your PC wasn't assembled in Malaysia by some 10 year old.
3) Paint/Case/ect. This is the only company that I've seen to offer this many options, and actually include stuff with your new PC.
Now, if no laptop had a price tag, what would you want? You can't deny that Falcon has the best gaming laptops on the market.
