I have the Dell 2001FP, and it is a kick-ass monitor , However, the best of out those three is the NEC 21" LCD w/ 16ms response time.

Also, have you considered the Apple Cinema Displays? I mean if money was no object.... you should google the monitor and read some reviews about it...

I have a 22 inch Multisync 2141...lol

I just gave it back to my father to use...I wanted the 2001FP. The 22 inch CRT's take up half my desk!

I'm loving my 2001FP. That's all I know.

well the multisync CRT because CRTs > LCD's for gaming. but if i had to choose between the LCD's, the dell wins.

the 2001fp is awesome. (plus, it has a usb hub on the side for all your crap)

I have a feeling the 2001FP will hold its own in gaming...

I just switched from a 21" CRT to the 20.1" Dell LCD. I cannot tell a difference in any game.

I figured as much, this 2001FP is supposed to be something else...how is the text? sharp?
My main question would be what are you using it for primarily. If it is for photo work a CRT is usually the way to go. But then again, if you go with the LCD, I would recommend a good calibrator, like the Colorvision Spyder Pro. If it is just for games and such, check out the other responses.

the problem with LCD's is that if you dont run it in its native resolution (2001FP's is 16x12) then it looks like crap. so you always need the latest and greatest graphics card to play the latest game because you cant run under 16x12 without it looking like poo. thats why i choose CRT, more versitle and 0 ghosting.

Crt!

I am very pleased with my NEC 22" CRT

I'd choose the Dell. I've read it's a great monitor w/o the high price tag.

But if money wasn't an issue, I'd get the 23.1" LCD by HP or Sony. Both have a 16ms response. HP goes for around $1699.00 and the Sony $1999.00

if money was no object then something like a custom made monitor by Sony pay them for a 100' tft about 12ms response time custom made to fit where I wisheed and running at various resoultions depending on my personal choice..

All for the nice price of a few million quid or dollars

if price wee no object...

forget external display... have an output directly linked to my optic nerve, bio-engineering... virtual total field-of-view in the privacy of my own head.

Hi, I don't know much about monitors and I am currently trying to find the best LCD... I was checking-out some reviews on 'www.tomshardware.com' and there was an article saying that 'EIZO' is for monitors what Ferrari is for cars (or something to that matter)... you can check the article-out for yourself at:

http://graphics.tomshardware.com/dis...14/lcd-15.html

I've read some good revies about the Eizo L885 ... but like a Ferrari, it's damn expensive!!!
Hope this is of some help...

Go with the NEC I have seen it in action, and its really really good....well worth the money....its the one I would go with in that situation.
