Weird Display Issue

Do any of you intermitantly have weird display issues.

My specific problem entails colums of exclamation markes (!) appearing at the windows preliminary boot up screen and then after boot up at the regular destop, extremly "pixilated" icons and a colon ( : ) constantly trailing the mouse.

Reboots do not cure the problem, however they do seem to disappear at the shut down screen or at least the cursor loses its shadow.

Any suggestions?

Okay. Now it appears, that after the computer has been on and has "warmed up," the problem has gone away.

Being that this is my first experience with a LCD screen, is this typical? Do they need to warm up like an old school TV or this something I need to contact Sager about?

sounds like bad video memory , that'd be exactly the symptom, though usually it doesn't go away, but it can, temperatures can affect this sort of thing.
