Some pictures of my TOSHIBA P35-S609. In picture 2 notice how the screen in the computer gets distorted when is connected to the TV set trough th s-video port.

Is your TV a DLP rear projection, or is it a regular CRT rear projection? I'm going to be getting a Sager 3790 soon and i'd like to hook it up to my 46" Hitachi (which is a CRT rear projection) and i'm wondering how it is going to look. How sharp is the picture? At what resolution are you running the TV-out? I'm assuming you have it connected with the S-video cable? Please post your details. I'd apprecite it.

TV set

Best Regards Alexrud:

My TV is a regular CRT rear projection. The TV is also TOSHIBA brand (do not remember model #) and is HD compatible. The max. resolution for the TVscreen is only 1024x768 and is really hard to read the characters in the TV screen. I got me a very good quality S-Video cable but that does not made any difference. If I change the resolution down to 800x600 is more easy to read the TV screen.
By the way, I was able to fix the issue of the black/distorted bars in the computer screen by installing the HYDRAVISION software from the TOSHIBA Support web page.

I THINK it's your tv. I have a projection screen too and it's a fuzzy picture. You can always take your laptop to a friends or to bestbuy/circuit city and test it out on a lcd, tube or plasma tv.
