Any 17 inch notebooks with Pentium M?

Looking for max screen real estate with long battery life. Though the large screen will also have a higher battery consumption, but it will still be quite resonable compared to a P4 and much cooler too!

I don't think so, sad to say...I wish the sager 3790 was a 17 incher. I have heard that the mobile Athlon 64 has comparable performance/battery life to the PM.

Thanks everyone. Toshiba and the Sony seem a bit pricey

I am looking at a budget of under 1900 (US$). Guess that leaves the 9200.

Acer has some great value for money offers. I would love to take a Travelmate 4502 WLmi (LMi) and replace the screen (15/15.4) by a 17" LCD .

Actually might be a good idea - buy the travelmate and a 17" LCD for my desk !!! Comes very close to the budget and also give me mobility

Now only issue left is the occasional need for a 17" screen to impress clients!

The Sony is a bit pricy but, it comes with a docking station, speakers, and a remote control. It's also a TV, DVR, Digital Stereo, etc. All included(I'm typing this from a VGN-A190). The 17" WUXGA screen has a native resolution of 1920x1200. Must be seen to appreciate. http://img22.exs.cx/img22/7526/screen86.jpg

EDIT: The VGN-A190 has the 735 Pentium M 1.7ghz processor, all benchmarks are comparable to a P4 2.4GHZ... without the heat.

Happy hunting!

the 9200 is also configurable with a WUXGA screen and thank god its not glossy how can you stand it?

The VGN-A190 is worth the cost, if for the screen alone... I believe it is still the only 1920x1200 resolution 17" laptop out, and it must truly be seen to appreciate. It makes everything crystal clear, and it is not hard at all to read text. One word to summarize it would be "beautiful". Now if only it had an upgradable video card via pci express...

Also, like stated above, the new Dell 9200 is WUXGA (1920x1200) so therefore the A190 isn't the only 1920x1200 17"-er out anymore.
