well thats what i'm saying, i think these are 2 256 mb dimms that will work as dual channel

what you want is 2 512mb dimms = 1gb that will work as dual channel

edit: got it, nevermind, it works great now!!!!!







ok basically, and i will try to make this as basic as possible, i recieved my first stick of 512 today. i installed it. tuesday i am getting what appears to be the same stick of memory from a different store and i will install it then, iff it is actually the same. if it is not the same, then i have to wait for the backorder from the other company. you all with me?

I ordered 2GB sticks from newegg.com for 8890

I ordered kingmax pc3200 2x1GB sticks from newegg.com. Let's see if it will work in my 8890.

works like a charm.

I just got two memory sticks. It works very well. If anybody want to buy 1GB sticks buy from neweggs.com.



PS: Sandra gives me data transfer rate of 6.4GB/s (max). Go for this ram you will not regret.
