I am now running KBC firmware 1.00.F2 and was running 1.00.F6
Both versions malfunction, under battery power only, as soon as battery power drops below 75%.
My mouse cursor goes crazy and moves and clicks all over the place causing all kinds of chaos.
The F2 version fixed my Fn+F10 Fan Hotkey problem but is there a version available that will fix the mouse problem without losing what is working well?
I have tried this with both the PS/2 Pointing Device (MS default) and the latest ALPS Touchpad driver without any difference in behavior.
I have even unchecked the "Fast Initialization" checkbox in the hardware properties Advanced Settings tab but it still does it.
Can you please fix this problem and send me a Flash BIOS / KBC Boot CD ISO image?
My laptop is absolutely UNUSABLE under battery power until this problem is resolved and, as you know, I need to run the battery flat at least once a week or the battery will be ruined.
I just purchased a new battery and I want to make sure that the new battery doesn't go bad in under a year like the last one did !!!
Here is a really good link that may help you... http://blogs.msdn.com/oldnewthing/ar...17/230839.aspx
If you are doing battery power management in your KBC firmware you need to make sure you are not affecting the mouse!
Maybe there are XP registry tweaks that will keep the touchpad from going into power management?
I don't know but this is a SERIOUS problem !!! Please resolve it !!!
