For those who are interested. Sager has officially released new video drivers for the 8887. I won't be able to play with them til I get home tonight. Just wanted to let everyone know.

Thanks for the heads up. Some of the most fun I have in the forums and with my Sager, loading ATI drivers. I have some 19 misc. ATI folders in my Utilities folder. DL'n as I write. Lock and load, rock and roll. Whooopeee!

Sorry, I should have mentioned that. Glad to see Sager is embracing the linux community.

Hmmm. Installed them and they work fine. Cleaned up my display Control Panel also. They're "6351s" (v.6.14.10.6351). I believe 6343 is Cat3.4, 6307 is Cat3.2, and 6292 is Cat3.1. (I think ATI skipped Cat3.3.) My previous Cat3.5's from s-seven.net or elsewhere were 6360s. Regardless, "approved" and updated ATI M9 drivers from Sager! (Thanks guys!) As per usual, I uninstalled my ATI Control Panel and ATI Drivers via Control Panel and Add\Remove Programs. I rebooted, ignored the driver install messages from XP, and installed the Sagers. (Extract the Sagers by double-clicking the ATI7_89.exe you've downloaded, then find the folder and double-click the setup.exe in the "root" folder, of course. The setup installs both the drivers and the ATI Control Panel.) Happy driving!

Comparable and just the same. I've been playing GTAIII alot lately, and I still have to turn up Performance in OpenGL and Direct3D to get it to play with "little" pausing.
