what is aol broadband then?

i chose the brewster's millions option: NONE OF THE ABOVE

AOL Broadband is just a prepacked AOL over TW cable, and you can only surf the web by launching AOL, even though it's nothing more than a regular TW cable connection. do yourself a favor and buy your broadband, and if you still need AOL choose the BYOA option at only $10/mo.

Does anyone know if AOL/Earthlink will charge you even if you never actually sign up for the free 6 months? Last time I bought a Dell laptop, I remember them having picked an AOL username for me (without my doing anything!), and I had to call AOL to cancel even though I never used their service.

Anyone have experience with this?

no they won't charge you if you don't sign up for it.

Neither. I reformated the HD to get rid of them (and among all the other crap that was on the HD).
