Best way to create DVD from multiple vid files?

Looking for the best way to convert multiple files (avi, mpeg, divx etc.) to a DVD disc, so I can watch on a home DVD player...

So far I've tried -

DVD Santa - finished DVD disc plays on the laptop, but not on the home DVD player.

Super DVD creator - time consuming; I need to create vob files for EACH media file, it can't do a multiple file list simultaneously.

Is there any way to get Nero (without using the crappy Vision Express) to select multiple media files, then burn them to a blank DVD dis for viewing on a home DVD player?

Ideally, something as easy to use as DVD Shrink...

Thanks in advance...

Thanks for the heads up okuda...I watched Season 4 of "Coupling" (various mpeg & avi files) onto a blank DVD/RW+ yesterday evening using DVD Santa to create a Video_TS folder, then used Nero to burn the disc....it played flawlessly on my home DVD player...

Will give Ulead DVD W2 a try now...
