Now is the time

Well everyone, i've ordered this notebook at the beginning of October and knew that there would be at least a months wait. I've pretty much ignored the phases and havent given much thought about the production time. This was possible only because i get pounded with loads of school work every single day with very little time to do anything.

Anyways, after over 3 weeks, I decided to take a look at the status page and found that i was in phase 9!, the important phase.

So I've decided that this was the time to start worrying, waiting, and going through withdrawal

not sure... where i USED to live, they didn't, infact, i'd see the tracking would say they actually HELD it until the day of ETA, which sucked, but it may have just been that branch. When i got notification of shipment, ETA was nov 2nd...which is election day (in the US, had to quickly make sure Fed-Ex didn't treat that as a holiday (they don't, thank god )...

Thanks, I'll make sure to do a full review once i get it(5 days and counting...)

although I cant guarantee any pics because I have no image capture device so you'll just have to use your imagination or I could go out right now and buy a cheap web cam...

Question

I live on campus in the dorms and there is a local campus office which picks up the orders. I noticed that the delivery requires me to be in person, but that cant be possible because i'll be in class that day and orders are always shipped there instead of the building where I live.

my question is if its possible for the office to accept the delivery without me being in-person otherwise this could be a problem

does anyone know if they require an in-person signature or will they just deliver it without me being there?

also if anyone else lives on campus and has ordered with AW, can you tell me how it went?

-thanks for helping

i'm not 100% sure, but i think just A person needs to be there to get it, i dont think it matters if its you or not. I do know they try 3 times and then it gets sent back to the sender (if they dont sort it out with the receiver).
In any case, i'ld call your local Fed-Ex branch w/ your tracking number and let them know of your situation and see what can be done about it.
I'm sure you're not the only student on campus to have had a delivery that requires 'your presence'.

Call them and request a "will call" They will hold it for you at the local facility and then you and a buddy could go pick it up. I personally wouldn't want anyone else signing for a 3500$+ piece of equipment.
