Video Card: Area-51m NVIDIA GeForce™ FX Go5700 Module with 128MB DDR
8X Dual Layer DVD+/-RW / 24X CD-RW Combo

Ordered on 10/15, and i did the financing offer which came via DHL shortly after

Phase 3-10/22 (it took a weekend after order date for them to get order because i ordered on friday)

Phase 4-10/26

I am sending an email to alienware right now also to see if it has moved up since then.

I'll try to keep this up to date when i get any further information

Great forums, ill be sure to post some pics and a review when i get the new notebook; that is if I'm not too busy playing Joint Ops, Call of Duty, Soldier of fortune, Halo CE, Delta Force 2(yes old school) etc.

Yeah, I think there's some official rule that you can't start getting *really* antsy until you've been waiting close to 30 days.

update...

i emailed to check in and the email back said

..."Your order is currently in Phase 4, Configuration Verification. Unfortunately, we have been experiencing a few delays due to the high demand of orders lately. I do apologize for the inconvenience..."

hopefully it wont delay too much

Ive found that in my case, the email response was behind the actual response. to get the most accurate info you gotta call.

halloween. moved into phase 5 on the site. havent called yet. will when the week starts sometime. keep you all posted. sorry for teh telegraph format. too lazy to use real english.

called alienware sales support and of course my order has a backordered LCD just like everyone else, the guy said it would take 3 weeks or less

how alienware can run out of LCD's for its most popular laptop is beyond me...although those holiday orders look pretty suspicious

i have already been waiting 19 days and that makes it another 30 or so...i might cancel and just go buy a sager if i hit another delay...alienware stocking is a big disappointment from all the quality service i was supposed to get

yeah i know all of you say its worth the wait but the wait isn't what it should be, if i can buy a similar laptop for $500 less and have it ship in 3 days i dont know why i should keep with this alienware but i guess i will for now

11-5 phase 6 switched on at 1 in the morning, 2 in the morning ET

oh and dont worry about any waits virtus. unless ur a UK user that is then expect to recieve a HUGGGEE wait!

still on phase 6, called and they said(from what i could understand) that the motherboard is backordered but they're getting it in on thursday or friday so by next week they will be able to start building

hmm, i called and the very next day it moved a phase, even though the phone guy said it wouldnt until next week...i suggest keeping them on their toes all you fellow phasians

26 days and counting...

29 days now...still on phase 7 on the site but im feeling an update coming this weekend hopefully...didnt get a chance to call before weekend so im going to on monday unless it jumps to phase 9 on the site or something

You're getting really close, I'm sure. Mine took forever on each phase up until the end, then shot right through - I'm sure yours will do the same, just might be a few more days.

moved into phase 8 around 11pm ...another weird time to be updated but still happy its making progress

hopefully when i call on monday or tuesday it will be moving through producion

all this waiting ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh cant...take...it

Yours is moving thru about the same time mine is you order a few days ahaed of me and i've been one phase behind you most of the way. Maybe we will get them in the same week sure hope so.
