newbie need help

I am a newbie in the dell laptop world and need some help.

I am looking for a universal power supply (mainly for Air/AC). Dell online has one but waiting time is like 2-3 weeks; all 3rd party one I find at local computer store does not support 8600. I understand Dell put some kind of chip in the PS, so I assume that's the reason why it is so hard to find one.

I have a trip coming up soon (within 2 weeks) and I wolud like to bring my 8600 with me. Can someone recommand a good 3rd party all in one PS for 8600. The only solution I come up with so far is to bring a Targus 150W air to ac inverter and plug the laptop into it. Honestly I don't have much fate in Targus inverter, I am not sure will it actually works.

Thanks in advance

Try the itip charger from Radio Shack store (dunno if it's available online though). I think it costs like $100.
