My solution would be to uninstall AIM, reformat all electronic devices within 20 ft of my computer (AOL stuff is tougher to get out than any virus I've ever encountered), and then hit it with a hammer
. If you're short on time, though, you can always just get Gaim or Trillian (I recommend Trillian Pro).
