Hello Guys and maybe girls. First I'll say that I'm glad I found a qualitive forum. I read some subjects here and I think you're all specialists in notebooks.

Here is my question: I want to buy a notebook.
I study Programmer-analist. So I need a notebook 4 the school. I don't have to carry a lot my notebook so i'm not really searching a little and lightfull notebook.
I work also in a hospital so I want to have a notebook with the power of a desktop.

I looked for a lot notebooks and it is not really easy to choose. My budget is +- 1900€
I saw the 1802 and I thought it was a good one. I liked the big screen cuz I look a lot of movies.
I think it's also a good screen for working with 2 or the windows at the same time. The only thing that bothers me is the battery. It lasts only 1 hour.
I know that you can everywhere plug it. So that would not be a problem but 1 hour can be sometimes too short.

I hope that somebody can help me and if someone has it. Is he or she glad of this notebook.

My apologize for my language but it' s not my main language.

BTW I'm from Beglium

if you like the screen (17'), look for good battery life and still expect top performance check out the new dell 9200. its a great laptop.

i just bought one of these for my dad, and i've spent 2 days playing with it. Couple of issues i had with it :

1. eject button for dvd writer is very very small, hard to eject if u have fat fingers like me
2. cursor keys are far too small to use
3. was configured with a 10gb firs partition, 10gb acer arcade partition (though the software takes less than a gig), and the rest was unpartition !
4. had problems with a memory upgrade, the memory modules are on top of each other, and the corsair memory i bought will not fit, the catch will not keep the memory in. i have tried 3 other memory types and had the same issue, only the memory that came with it fits properly

other than these, i love it, i want to sell my dell 9100 to get one, screen is the best thing about it.
